Woodland foraging for wild garlic.

It's nearly time to say farewell to the bluebells in Flear wood until next year. Springing up in their place are masses of the white flowers of wild garlic, giving the woodland a different, but still beautiful, ambience. Some of our guests are foraging in the woods for bunches of the wild garlic leaves to use in their food preparation. The leaves are delicious and tender eaten raw, they have a gentle, mild garlic flavour - wonderful lightly cooked with fish, stirred into pasta or chopped into a leafy salad. Help yourselves!
