Beaches Near Flear... Bantham

Today's beach is Bantham. This bay has a huge sandy beach especially at low tide. The slope down to the water is so slight that you can wade out several hundred yards and still be only waist deep and as such the water is glorious.This is a great choice for swimming, the long sandy bay heats up nicely at low tide so the water is warmer for swimming and the bay is quite well sheltered, although there are full-time lifeguards on duty, keeping a general eye on things.There is an excellent beachside cafe/restaurant that also does an early supper for those who have early bedtimes...
